Sites Security Services is free to use. We support the site through affiliate and Amazon Associates relationships, and this page explains exactly how that works.
Affiliate Links
Some links on this Site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a qualifying purchase or sign up, we may earn a commission. This never costs you anything extra — the price you pay is the same whether or not you use our link.
As of this update, our active affiliate relationship is with Amazon Associates (see below). We are working on partnerships in other categories referenced in our content, such as VPN services, password managers, antivirus/security software, and identity-protection or data-removal services. Where we do not yet have an approved partnership, we do not display a placeholder or dead affiliate link — the recommendation, if shown, links to the provider’s own website with no tracking, or the call-to-action is simply not shown.
Amazon Associates Disclosure
Sites Security Services is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
How We Choose What to Recommend (Editorial Methodology)
We do not claim to have personally, hands-on tested every product or service we mention. Our recommendations and category guidance are informed by:
- Vendor documentation, published feature lists, and pricing
- Publicly available privacy policies and terms of service
- Independent, published security audits and third-party security research where available
- Widely recognized security best practices (e.g., guidance consistent with NIST and similar bodies)
Compensation does not determine our editorial conclusions. We do not accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage, and whether a product appears in our content is not conditioned on an affiliate relationship existing. If you believe something we’ve written is inaccurate or out of date, please contact us and we will review it.
Advertising Disclosure
We do not currently display third-party advertisements (such as Google AdSense) on this Site. We may enable display advertising in the future; if we do, ads will be clearly labeled and kept separate from editorial content, and this page will be updated to reflect it.
